Clint started as a customer with CrossFit Coronado in October 2008. He became a trainer in August 2009, and the owner in August 2010. He has been an athlete since he was young. Starting with 7 years of gymnastics and martial arts, as well as high school football and track. In college, he got into endurance running and swimming. He was first introduced to CrossFit in the military. A CrossFit athlete is one that is well rounded in all areas of fitness. It was this, and the fact that there is absolutely no way to duplicate the results that CrossFit produces for the short amount of time the workouts require, that initially hooked Clint. Clint has personally experienced improvement in every aspect of fitness, with much shorter workout times. He placed 9th in the SoCal Regionals for 2011 and is looking forward to competing again in 2012. Clint thoroughly enjoys helping people reach their goals. Mike has come to Crossfit Coronado after a 26 year career in the Marine Corps. Having made fitness a way of life during his time in the Marines, he was searching for a means to maintain an elite level of fitness after he retired from the Corps. Maintaining a regimen of elite fitness was an elusive goal for him until he stumbled upon the back alley garage that is home to Crossfit Coronado. As the 8th original member Mike has been at Crossfit Coronado from its very start and has adapted to the Crossfit protocol like a duck takes to water. In addition to using Crossfit Coronado for his own fitness pursuits, he is the trainer for the Crossfit Boomers Class that targets folks of his (Baby Boomer) generation. Email Mike.

Stuart started CrossFit in January 2010 by joining the CFC family. A Division II College soccer player, Stuart has been active his entire life, but had never been an avid gym goer until CrossFit. Always turned off by the traditional approach to fitness outside of soccer, he was in desperate need to get that active lifestyle back once his career ended on the pitch at Sonoma State. Thankfully CrossFit and CFC fell into his lap soon after graduating since his family had already decided to "Forge Elite Fitness." Skeptical at first, Stuart soon realized the benefits CrossFit offered to his overall health and quickly became consumed with the CrossFit lifestyle and the community that follows it. CrossFit has helped him nurse his previously torn ACL back to health and now says hands down he is in the best shape of his life, better than his prime as a college athlete, and now knows the benefit CrossFit can provide in the rehabilitation of injuries. When asked what drives him to coming back he replies, "Every day I show up I know I'm getting better than the last, and that is a good feeling to have." Email Stuart.

Marc has been CrossFitting since 2008, has been a Head Coach with CrossFit Endurance since December of 2009 and joined CrossFit Coronado in June 2011. He is a Certified CrossFit Level I and POSE Running Coach. He has attended numerous other courses such as Nutrition (CrossFit with Robb Wolf and Whole 9), Movement and Mobility, and OPT Life Coaching. His athletic background was centered around collegiate and club level Rugby until age and wisdom took over. In 1998 he rediscovered his bicycle and started racing in 2002.
While Cross Fit has been hugely influential on Marc’s recent athletic endeavors, his coaching ability was born from a career as Naval Aviator. For 24 years he was learning, improving his own skills or teaching others how to fly - this is where his skill as a coach was developed.
Marc’s focus at CF Coronado is on the 6am class, a select group of distance runners and nationally ranked cyclist and programming for Games and Specialty athletes. His coaching is based on two simple ideas: the more skillful athlete will be more efficient in their chosen endeavor, and strength and conditioning programming should be biased toward our 4 energy systems.
